In Search of Wisdom - Can Greed Equate to Corruption? |
.all institutions must ensure that no one has absolute power, privacy, or anonymity when assuming a public role. This necessity implies that we put strong checks and balances in the institutions to save the institutions from corruption and subsequent degeneration. We should use feedback-control mechanisms to instrument continual checks and balances, develop competitive environment where better service is rewarded, assign responsibilities based on competence and not on connection, and promote individual and institutional ethics.

.Therefore, the secret to curing corruption is to check the power. Giving power to an incorruptible person is not going to eliminate corruption. Instead, the transfer of power will convert that newly powerful person into a corrupt one. This is a disappointing message for those in Nepal who are waiting for a godly leader to descend in their country to miraculously give them salvation...
